The Offset Program Bureau's delegation to Paris, led by CEO Saif Al Hajeri, has inked four Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with leading companies from Europe and Singapore. A maritime security conference will be held next July the sidelines of the upcoming bi-annual meetings of the chiefs of navies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Abu Dhabi.
The Gulf Naval Commanders' Conference (GNC) which will take place on July 2, 2008, at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) is organized by Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis (INEGMA).

Staff Major General Juma Ali Khalaf Al Humairi, Chief of Administration and Manpower Staff, underscored that the Unification of UAE Armed Forces on May 6, 1976, was a historic decision, as the UAE Armed Forces became under one banner and one command.
