The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is organising three shows for the historical musical play "Zayed and the Dream" at the Palladium auditorium in Dubai Media City in celebration of the UAE's national day, according to ADACH in a press release.

The shows will take place on December 3, 4 and 5 as part of the international tour which started in Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Paris and London.

Upon orders from H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ADACH produced the show in 2008 in collaboration with Caracalla Dance, the internationally-acclaimed Lebanon-based dance company.

Starring 100 artists as well as guest performers from China, Spain, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates, "Zayed and the Dream" is the new extravagant theatrical creation by the Caracalla Dance Theatre. History meets art in the legendary story of seven horsemen travelers in the sands of time on a journey in search of the one who will forever leave his mark on the Arabian desert and carve his name as a hero of civilization.

"This work is an illuminating artistic vision inspired by the march of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of UAE, and validated by the authenticity of the region's heritage and roots," said ADACH.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Advisor for Culture and Heritage at the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi '&' Director General of (ADACH) said "The late Sheikh Zayed succeed to establish the great union dream of the nation in less than three decades. He built a strong state with his unique ideas. He put the solid bases for UAE to be on the top of international positions which we are living today.” â€" Emirates News Agency, WAM
