The Higher Colleges of Technology's Abu Dhabi Women's College announced the launch of its Mufakkiraty (My Mobile Organiser) mobile organising application for students. This application is the first of many planned mobile technological advances to streamline communications, both inside and outside of the college.
ADWC strives to utilise cutting-edge technology to enhance the student learning experience. In the spirit of this, this application was developed for iOS devices and allows students anywhere anytime highly secured access to their important information, such as personal profile, classroom schedule, attendance, grades, personalised announcements and college news. Access is gained via their college login.
Students can download the application easily from the Apple iTune App Store and Blackberry Store.
Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, said the Mufakkiraty mobile phone App demonstrated HCT's emphasis on innovation and technology in education. "The Higher Colleges of Technology maintains a strong commitment to excellence in education and a hallmark of its learning model is the focus on successful student learning outcomes in science, technology and innovation, educating our students for the 21st Century," Dr Kamali said. "This Mufakkiraty application is a clear example of our students learning skills in adaptability, information technology and analytical thinking so that ultimately they will make important contributions to the United Arab Emirates," he added.
ADWC Director, Dr. Jace Hargis stated "Empowering students with real time dynamic information further enables them to engage in our academic community whether they are on or off campus. Our goal is for Mufakkiraty to become one of the primary apps, which our students access on their mobile devices." - Emirates News Agency, WAM
