A photo show on Afghanistan

posted on 08/01/2002: 1467 views

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works will organise a photo exhibition on Afghan tragedy at Dubai Press Club from January 8 to 10. Held under the theme "Afghanistan : A wound of humanity”, the event is being organised in collaboration with the Abdullah Murad Groups and local newspapers.

The show would feature 48 photos shot by local media photographers while they were covering critical events at the Foundation's camp. The exhibition is aimed at familiarizing the public with critical and harsh circumstances faced by the Afghan people and the humanitarian and relief efforts made by the Foundation and its sister UAE agencies there. The Foundation was the first to build a camp inside Afghanistan to offer relief assistance to refugees. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
