Abdullah Rashid appointed Foreign Ministry Under Secretary

President H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan today issued a federal decree appointing Abdullah Rashid Al Nuaimi as Under Secretary of the Foreign Ministry with effect from March 15, 2004. Abdullah Al Nuaimi who was born in Ajman 1955, earned a Masters Degree in international relations in 1985 from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy which belongs to Tufts and Harvard Universities.



Abdullah started his diplomacy career in 1976 when he joined the Foreign Ministry as a third secretary at the Political Affairs Department. He climbed the job ladder until he was promoted to Director of the Foreign Affairs Department in 1991. He was appointed Director of the Department for GCC and Arabian Gulf Affairs in 1999 and promoted in the same to the rank of Ambassador. He worked as the Foreign Ministry's Assistant Under Secretary for Political Affairs since 2002. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
