UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Iraqi leadership and people on the withdrawal of the US Armed Forces from the Iraqi cities, wishing stability and security to Iraq amid current developmental and reconstruction efforts. Sheikh Abdullah lauded strength of the bilateral relations between the UAE and Iraq in all fields.
He reiterated that the UAE backs Iraq, citing the decision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on writing off the debts of Iraq and resumption of the UAE-Iraq relations, adding that the UAE was one of the first countries to send its ambassador to Baghdad. The UAE minister said the UAE was keen on safeguarding unity, security, stability and non interference in Iraq's internal affairs. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
