Abdullah bin Zayed receives Emirati students in Ireland

Dublin: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has underscored that UAE students studying abroad are ambassadors of their homeland.

He added that they should highlight the great stature of the country in order to contribute to the march of progress and prosperity that the UAE is witnessing in all fields.

Sheikh Abdullah made these remarks in Dublin when he received about 150 UAE students who are studying at a number of Irish universities.

Present at the meeting was the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, Khalid Nasser Rashid Lootah.

Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to the students the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

He was reassured on their living and study conditions in Ireland, stressing the country's interest to follow up on their educational conditions and the prudent leadership's keenness on securing all ways that would help them to exert more efforts and determination in order to achieve their objectives.

He also expressed his happiness on meeting the students and admired their determination, urging them to give much care to their studies.

Khalid Nasser Rashid Lootah underscored the importance of Sheikh Abdullah's visit to Ireland in order to boost bilateral relations, saying that his meeting with the students affirms that UAE citizens rank first of the priorities of the wise leadership.

The UAE ambassador said, "Since the opening of the UAE Embassy in Dublin, we are witnessing an increasing number of Irish living in the UAE where their number has now reached over 8000, due to the investment opportunities provided by the UAE" The UAE students expressed their appreciation and happiness at meeting Sheikh Abdullah, reiterating their pledges to achieve the highest academic qualifications so as to help in the continuation of the country's march of progress. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
