Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister received this afternoon the Quartet Committee special envoy to Palestine, James Wolfensohn who is visiting the country. They discussed developments in Palestine especially following the forming of the new Hamas-led Palestinian government.



The two sides exchanged opinions on the effect of the election result in Palestine and Israel, and the importance of working together to achieve peace and stability in the area. They also discussed the importance of supporting the international efforts, especially the role of the quartet committee in providing support for the Palestinians at the moment to enable the Palestinians get achieve their national rights in accordance with the international resolutions. The meeting was attended by Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, Director of International Affairs Department of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
