Abdullah bin Zayed urges Yemeni government to take immediate measures to ensure security of the UAE embassy in Sana'a

UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has urged the government of Yemen to take urgent and necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the UAE embassy in Sana'a and all its staff. The appeal was made during a telephone conversation Sheikh Abdullah had with the Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Backer Al Qirbi yesterday. Sheikh Abdullah expressed profound sorrow over the siege imposed on the UAE Embassy in Sana'a and stressed that the government of Yemen should take immediate action to ensure the safety of the embassy and all the diplomats inside the embassy building including that of the UAE, other Gulf states and western countries, GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif Al-Zayani and the U.S. ambassador in Sana'a. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
