The Abu Dhabi Executive Council -AEC- held yesterday its regular weekly meeting under the chairmanship of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The meeting reviewed a number of reports, memoranda from governmental authorities and affiliated bodies on projects, development of services and advancing governmental performance.

AEC approved a memorandum by Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority - ADWEA- on using sodium hypochlorite sterilization units at Abu Dhabi water pumping stations as replacement to gas units.

Also approved at yesterday's meeting was another memorandum by ADWEA on the supply and installation of high-voltage station and cables in Mussaffah (Abu Dhabi) and Tuwain (Fujairah) zones to meet increasing demand on water and electricity by investment projects. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
