Abu Dhabi Executive Council members sworn in before Mohamed bin Zayed

Upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, new members of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council took oath here yesterday before His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces at Al Mushrif Palace.

The sworn in ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Transport, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Authority Affairs, Hamad Mohammed Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Finance and Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Energy Authority and Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of Health Authority.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stressed keenness of the UAE President on updating and developing integrated government services to boost the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi so as to meet the needs of the country, citizens and preserve the national identity.

He added that huge responsibility is awaiting the members of executive council to further push sustainable development and keep pace with innovative and effective initiatives to upgrade the government performance. He noted that there are mechanisms to gauge government work in the executive council in order to improve the performance and work efficiency.

Sheikh Mohamed wished them success in their new duties and thanked the former executive council members for their efforts during their tenure in office.

For their part, the new members pledged to the UAE President to work harder with loyalty and self-denial to implement his directives in service of the dear homeland and Emirati people.

The following members took oath before the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi: Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, Ali Majed Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, Dr. Amel Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Deputy General Commander of Abu Dhabi Police. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
