Abu Dhabi Executive Council passes Abu Dhabi government budget

The Abu Dhabi Executive Council (ADEC) passed yesterday in its regular weekly meeting the budget of the government of Abu Dhabi Emirate for Presided over by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the meeting approved a memorandum from Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority (ADEWA) on awarding the contract of the Fujairah water and power project.

The council also approved two memoranda from the Department for Municipalities and Agriculture in Abu Dhabi on completion of extension of a road in Khalifa City and on hiring a consultant to conduct a study on alternatives for investment of government assets in leasing. The council gave its green light to a budget for establishing the first phase of livestock farms at Zala centre. It also gave its nod for allocating a plot for building special club for people with special needs. A budget for building Abu Dhabi centre for geographical information was also passed. A number of reports dealing with general policies and public services were reviewed. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
