Abu Dhabi Police rescue team heads to Pakistan

In keeping with the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, a rescue team from the Abu Dhabi Police left to Pakistan to take part in the search and rescue operations for missing people following the devastating earthquake that hit Pakistan early yesterday.



Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, ordered formation of the team which is headed by Colonel Khalid Abdulatif Al Dossary, Director of Rescue and Aid Department at Abu Dhabi Police. A K9 unit will also accompany the highly trained team members who pledged to do their best to rescue survivors of the quake. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
