The city of Ajman has been divided into six sectors and 44 residential areas by the Ajman Municipality in a bid to facilitate rapid development in the emirate.

Addressing a press conference on Monday at the municipality's premises, Yahaya Ibrahim Al Reyaysa, Director General of Ajman Municipality, said the division of the city would contribute a great deal in attracting investors and tourists.

The division of the city would not affect its identity and heritage as the roads, bridges and highways will be named after the country's leaders. Other names will reflect the national culture.

Al Reyaysa explained that the city has been divided into six sectors, each one surrounded by main roads to facilitate easy access.

The roads will divide the sectors and areas. For example, Al Zora road will divide Al Jarf residential areas from Al Jarf industrial areas to ensure comfort, peace and stability for the residents.

The municipality has initiated a numbers of green belts and residential parks in all residential areas. – Khaleej Times
