Stunning performances on Wednesday enthralled thousands of spectators on the opening day of the 7th edition of Al Ain International Aerobatics Show in the Oasis city.

Spectators poured in from all over the UAE, neighbouring GCC states, and other countries to watch the annual fiesta that is also the seasons' first air show of the world.

The show is being jointly organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and UAE Air Force and Air Defence at Al Ain International Airport. Many spectators were seen watching the show from the comfort of their cars parked along the road that winds its way through the high sand dunes leading to the airport.

The thundery performance of the F-16 Falcons from the Royal Bahrain Air Force spellbound the spectators. Crowd favourites the Saudi Hawks from the Royal Saudi Air force aerobatics Team also performed in tight formations.

The six daredevil pilots taking part in the Aero GP mustered applause for their routines and routines in three different disciplines of the competition to beat each other.

The show will continue with daily performance until January 30. The organisers have also arranged lots of attractions for family entertainment. A vast area has been specified for exhibitions for national and international organisations. – Gulf News
