Al Joker captures Dubai Open Snooker Championship

posted on 28/03/2002: 2204 views

Mohammed Al Joker made a great comeback to win the Dubai Snooker Club Open Championship, replacing Mohammed Shahab as UAE number one in the process. Sultan Saqr Al Suweidi, Secretary General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and Youth, presented the winner with trophy. Al Joker, trying to win the first UAE Open Tournament of the year, made a disastrous start in the first frame that saw Shahab able to set up his early lead in the match. Al Joker potted a superb blue with the rest to leave Shahab requiring foul points from a Snooker to win. (The Gulf News)
