Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been praised by the Palestinian community in the UAE, who also expressed profound gratitude to him for adopting the Palestinian child, Huda Ghalya, who lost all members of her family in an Israeli bombing while on family picnic last Friday.

Dr. Khairi Al Oraidi, Palestinian Ambassador, today said in a statement issued from the Palestinian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, that Palestinians all over the world are very grateful to Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the humanitarian gesture.

He said the UAE has once again made another historic record in reaching out to the Palestinians people, adding that the UAE is one of the most important "countries that offer help without waiting for the needy to cry out for it." Al Oraidi concluded his statement by expressing his gratitude to President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and to the UAE people who, he said, always stood by the Palestinian people.
