Algerian Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has paid tribute to UAE for extending relief aid to the flood-victims. Under instructions by President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the RCS has delivered 140 tonnes of relief assistance to the Algerian people affected by recent floods and mudslides which left 762 dead and caused material loss of 250 million dollars. In a message to the RCS, the ARCS thanked the UAE people for their humanitarian support during the plight. ' The relief aid has left a good impression among the Algerian people who harbour deep respect for Sheikh Zayed and his humanitarian initiatives to help disaster-hit peoples across the world, the ARCS said.
