Talal Alotaibi, public relations manager at Almarai, said: "As a company that is dedicated to fulfilling consumers' daily needs of nutritious food and beverage products, we are honoured to be in the UAE today to activate this initiative and reaffirm our commitment to making a positive impact on people's lives in the markets that we serve.
"Our partnership with the RCA is founded on mutual trust and the common aim of enabling communities to fulfil their potential. We look forward to building on this initiative under the guidance and with the assistance of the Red Crescent Authority in the UAE.”
In the first phase, which started on Sunday, Almarai has distributed over 30,000 long-life milk bottles to a number of families in the UAE, "and we might look forward to other initiatives to support students with daily school groceries of Almarai products”, he added.
Mohammed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zaroni, Manager of the UAE Red Crescent's Dubai branch, said: "As part of our humanitarian efforts in the UAE, it is important for us to have a strong support from true partners of the private sector such as Almarai. Through this strategic partnership, we will reinforce our roles and abilities to increase the reach of our relief efforts across the nation's emirates, providing basic nutritional requirements to a very large number of families registered with us.
"We look forward to further cooperation with Almarai in various areas of community engagement in order to provide essential relief services to as many people as possible.” – Khaleej Times
