Ambassador of Kazakhstan praises mutual relations with UAE

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Askar Mussinov, spoke highly about the wise leadership of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan that made the UAE one of the most developed countries worldwide.

During a press conference that was held yesterday in the embassy of Kazakhstan to discuss results of the second meeting of the joint UAE-Kazakhstan Committee, that was concluded lately in Astana, the Capital of Kazakhstan, Mussinov praised mutual relations between both countries, which are witnessing enhancement in all fields and creating new opportunities that benefit both sides.

He noted that his country is rich of natural and human resources, which makes it a good attraction for UAE investors, whereas trade size between Kazakhstan and the UAE is the largest among other GCC states.

He declared Abu Dhabi Towers project that is being implemented in Astana by Al Dar company. It includes offices and a shopping centre that is made of 90 stories and costs around US$500 million. "The joint committee assured during its meeting that negotiations regarding the agreement of encouraging and protecting investments between both countries will start as soon as the agreement of avoiding double taxation is done", said the Ambassador of Kazakhstan. He added that both sides agreed on holding a meeting for Businessmen Council in Abu Dhabi on the second half of this year.

In addition, Kazakhstan welcomed studying the experiment of building the trade centre of independent countries in Sharjah. He pointed out that both countries also agreed on strengthening cooperative relations in all fields, exchanging experiences and information, and holding the third meeting of the joint committee in Abu Dhabi in 2008.
