Beirut - A military plane carrying two ambulance vehicles sent by the Mohammed bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Foundation arrived here on Wednesday. Officials from the UAE embassy in Beirut received the ambulance vehicles, sent as part of the relief operations to help Lebanese people.
Meanwhile, an agreement was signed today between the Foundation and a branch of the Syrian Red Crescent Society, under which, meals will be served daily to over 5,000 displaced Lebanese in Syria. The agreement also covers setting up of two health centres in Juseih and Al Dabousiya border posts to provide medical aid to the Lebanese people entering Syria. The centres will be equipped with ambulance vehicles. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
