American media delegation visits FNC

Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair FNC Chairman received yesterday an American Media delegation . The Chairman informed the delegation members about the parliamentary practice in the UAE through activation of the role of the Council which half of its members are elected according to the program set by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Abdul Aziz pointed out that 23% of FNC members are women, and that they play very active role in the activities of the Council . He told the delegation that the parliamentary practice of FNC goes in line with the norms and customs of the Emarati people.

He also explained to the delegation the pioneering experience of UAE in the fields of education, health and investment and the impact of this on the neighbouring countries. And he answered a number of questions asked by the members of the delegation about UAE students who join American universities and how they have been treated since the incidents of 9/11.
