The fourth batch of wounded Iraqis arrived in Abu Dhabi yesterday for treatment in UAE hospitals. A UAE plane, which unloaded relief aid in Baghdad and Mosul, airlifted the wounded as part of the humanitarian assistance ordered by President H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The wounded were immediately admitted to hospitals of Mafraq, Jazira and Khalifa, where special wards were fitted for their treatment. A number of top RCS officials and armed forces officers were at the airport to receive the batch. The three batches of wounded Iraqis, who arrived in the UAE a couple of weeks ago, are now recovering. The newly arrived wounded expressed their gratitude to Sheikh Zayed for his humanitarian gesture, wishing him good health. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
