Nabeel Yaqoub Al Hammer, Bahraini Minister of Information said in Manama yesterday the decision of King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa to name the 25th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit which will be held here on Monday as the ‘Zayed Summit', was a mark of respect for a man who made enormous contributions to the GCC.

+The Kingdom of Bahrain and the entire GCC states are profoundly indebted to Sheikh Zayed. As we convene the 25th summit, his wisdom will be greatly missed+ said Al Hammer in remarks shortly after inaugurating the press Centre for the summit. Earlier, King Hamad ordered that the summit be named after Sheikh Zayed, saying that the move was a tribute befitting a leader who was loved and respected by the people of the GCC.
