Beirut - A UAE ship is expected to berth here at the Beirut Sea Port tomorrow to deliver relief supplies, including food and medical items for the Lebanese people. A number of Lebanese charity and humanitarian organisations, including Caritas, the Farah Foundation, the Rafiq Hariri Foundation and the Lebanese Red Cross Society will take delivery of the items under the supervision of the UAE Relief Agency for onward distribution to the affected people in Lebanon.

Two planes from the UAE landed here today at the Rafiq Hariri International Airport where they delivered 30 tons of relief assistance from the UAE to Lebanese national humanitarian organisations. The air delivery is part of the air-bridge operation by the UAE to deliver relief supplies to the Lebanese people. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
