The Abu Dhabi's Centre of Information Affairs has issued a special publication on US President George W. Bush on the occasion of his two-day visit to the UAE that starts today. Published in both Arabic and English, the study underlines the importance of Bush's visit during which he will meet the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The book focuses on several aspects of Bush's personality that contributed to building up his character. Detailing the concerns of Bush about social and human issues, the book says he has deemed education as a strategic necessity and stressed this concern by saying: "Education is closest to my heart.

"As I said in speech after speech, education is for a state when national defence is for the federal government, the first priority and most urgent challenge. If a state doesn't educate children, if the federal government doesn't defend America from foreign threat, whatever important issue comes next seems a very distant second.”

President Bush has been keen on certain basics for his internal policy to achieve the prosperity and progress of his nation. The economic aspect has occupied a large part of Bush's thinking, the book says, adding, "This was reflected in his campaign for the second presidential term.”

"My plan begins with providing the security and opportunity of a growing economy. "We now compete in a global market that provides new buyers for our goods, and new competition for our workers. "To create more jobs, America must be the best place in the world to do business. "To create jobs, my plan will encourage investment and expansion by restraining federal spending, reducing regulation, and making the tax relief permanent,” the book quotes Bush as saying.

It sheds light on the viewpoints of several authors and thinkers who wrote about the personality of President Bush, indicating that the moral and religion restraint was not the outcome of temporary circumstances, rather an inherent characteristic of him. – Khaleej Times
