The ZCCF has published a book titled "German-UAE Relations” as a sequel to series of books to throw light on UAE's relations with the rest of the world and in particular countries of the European Union, aimed at portraying the principles, foundations and political dimensions in order to serve national Arab and humanitarian causes. The study says that political and diplomatic policies followed by the UAE are based on the vision of President HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a leader who is held in high esteem by all the world leaders including the Germans, according to a press release from ZCCF. The study reveals that Germany occupies the top position among the effective European countries and it is one of the leading partners of the UAE in the field of economy. The Arab countries have special feelings in their hearts for Germans that makes Germany an effectual and respected partner. According to the study, German-UAE relations date back to 1884 when the Kaiserreich Germany in 1884 linked its East African colonies with the Arabian Gulf region.

The bilateral trade relations continued between the Gulf emirates and the Kaiserreich Germany until the World War I broke out. After the discovery of oil and the formation of the United Arab Emirate new political horizons dawned internally and externally. The communication links were restored to achieve mutual interests. Diplomatic relations at the level of embassies were established. The heads of the two countries played very effective role in the past two decades in activating and boosting these relations.

The study asserts that close interaction of the leaders of both countries and exchange of visits by them are clear manifestation of complete understanding on achieving specific objectives. These relations are characterized by mutual admiration and respect, developing Arabs, understanding of the German nation's sufferings and ordeal during the Second World War and the severe punishment they were meted out after the war. The Arabs hold Germans in high esteem for building a highly developed modern country from the ruins of the towns destroyed by war. The study sheds light on economic relations and their volume analyses some bilateral agreements, highlighting the intensity of relations achieved between the two countries with the hope of further boosting these relations in the interest of Arab - European dialogue that could usher in peace, stability and progress for mankind.
