CAE, the world's most experienced training and simulation provider, is offering a turnkey air crew training facility for air force personnel in countries in the Gulf and Middle East and is in talks with some states in the region to offer the full fledged training facility, according to a spokesman for the company. The Canadian company, which is participating in the ongoing IDEX 2003 expo, is ready to finance, build and operate such a facility complete with equipment and other requirements, and charge an annual fee for utilising the facility's services, a spokesman for the company told the Emirates News Agency, WAM.

"Such a training facility will be particularly useful for countries which have limited budgets for training programmes. The complete curriculum and training will be developed and carried out by CAE. It includes a basic training programme as well as courses for experienced crew members," he said. He added that CAE is also presenting its HAWK 102 simulator used for pilot training. Some countries have expressed their interest in acquiring the simulator, he said. The company, which supplies 80 per cent of all civil aviation simulators worldwide, has an ongoing simulator-training programme with Emirates airline. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
