Khalid Abdulla Mubarak Al Buainnain, Executive Vice President Middle East Military and Defence Projects, 4C Controls Inc., yesterday categorically denied any relation between his company and Israel in regards to commercial satellites.

Defence News magazine has recently run a news report saying the UAE is negotiating a commercial deal with Israel that would grant the Emirate of Abu Dhabi access to the Israeli-built Eros B satellite.

A government official source has denied the report at that time.

'As a national company I deny any direct or indirect relation with any Israeli industry, Al Buainnain told reporters yesterday on the sidelines of IDEX.

'We are talking about a project for space research and creation of the first-ever Gulf Earth Observation Centre ........ we didn't contact an Israeli company and we will never do that irrespective of its capabilities,' he affirmed.

He said that his company approached a number of companies eight months ago in regards to the said project and we have chosen Thales Alenia Space of Italy as a strategic partner.

He also questioned the logic before publishing the news report at this time from such a highly acclaimed professional magazine in this way.
