Another cargo plane will leave today to Afghanistan carrying relief aid from Red Crescent Authority (RCA). The 35-tonn relief goods are sent as per directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of RCA to alleviate the sufferings of people in Afghanistan, a country devastated by wars. Deputy Secretary General for Relief and Projects at RCA Saleh Mohammed Al Mulla said that the present dispatching of relief aid is a continuation of the charity and humanitarian works which RCA started since several years in Afghanistan as per directives from President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. He also said that the relief aid consists of food, clothing, medicines and equipments for shelter. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
