Committee formed to oversee GCC summit preparations

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, yesterday issued a resolution, forming a committee to supervise preparations for hosting the 26th summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, to be held in Abu Dhabi. According to the resolution's first article, a committee shall be formed with the purpose of supervising preparations for the 26th GCC summit, which will be held in Abu Dhabi during this year.



The committee is headed by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Guest House and Protocol Department and has as member's representatives from the Ministry of Supreme Council and GCC Affairs, Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information and Culture, Security Department, Abu Dhabi Municipalities and Agriculture Department, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (ETISALAT) and the Emiri Flight.



The resolution empowers the committee to adopt all procedure it deems necessary to carry out its tasks and may seek the help of experienced persons. The entities mentioned in the resolution shall respectively nominate their representatives to the committee. The resolution is to be published in the official gazette.
