A plane load of 40 tonnes of relief supplies, including medicines, medical equipment, food items and clothing, landed here on Thursday at the Amman Airport on its way to Palestinian areas under the Palestinian National Authority. According to Mohammed Habroush Al Rumaithy, head of the UAE delegation accompanying the relief assistance and member of the UAE Red Crescent Society, the consignment was a continuation of the air-bridge the UAE embarked upon to deliver relief assistance to Palestinians in the areas under the PNA in support of their brave defiance of the Israeli suppression. The consignment, which has a total cost of Dhs2 million, came from donations made by charitable organisations in the UAE to help alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian people. The co-operation between the UAE and Jordan, especially in the field of support for the wounded Palestinians, and commended the joint UAE-Jordanian field hospital in Ramallah, which treats about 400 patients a day, adding that the UAE presented on Thursday to the Jordanian Royal Medical Services an ambulance, fully equipped with all the necessary medical and technical equipment.
