Dh600m power station in Ajman planned

Efforts are underway to set up a Dh600m power station in Ajman, a source at the Federal Water and Electricity Authority said. The source said that the Authority has started co-ordinating with Ajman authorities to set up a central power station to produce water and electricity in the emirate. "The location is yet to be decided, however, a study has been conducted about the projected plant with an estimated capacity of 1,300 megawatts. He added that 40 million gallons of water would be produced daily by the plant by using high capacity turbines. The source added that more studies and consultations were yet to be done on the project. (The Gulf News)
