Emiratis Sultan Al Zaabi and Khalil Ibrahim Ali completed a one-two in the Pro Modified class during Round Two of the Pro Drag Racing Series at Yas Marina Circuit late on Friday night.
Al Zaabi clinched victory in a time of 3.843s and with a top speed of 308.16kph, while Khalil had to settle for second with a time of 3.941s and a top speed of 301.75kph.
A total of 62 dragsters in six different classes, including bikes, were seen in action on the night.
In the 4.8 Index class, Bahraini Mohammed Salama took the top prize ahead of Syria's Fadi Tammour, clocking 4.827s with a top speed of 222.83kph. Tammour's timing was 5.191s and his speed 155.08kph.
Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Bu Rashed clinched victory in the Pro Bike category with 4.100s and a speed of 287.37kph, with Mohammed Al Awad settling for second.
The Street Bike race was won by Mohamed Al Bdah, with a time of 4.584s and a speed of 263.34kph, while Mohammed Bu Rashed was just behind in second with 4.632s and 249.72kph.
Talal Al Athman clocked 4.859s for first place at a top speed of 249.72kph in the Super Street 8 class, while the Pro 6 division was won by Fahad Mohamed, with Ali Al Suwaidi taking second. – Sport 360°
