Dubai Airshow that runs from November 15-19, will witness the first-ever appearance of the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. The airshow, being held at the city's Airport Expo, is the foremost aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing in the world.
The Typhoon, an agile, multi-role aircraft, specially optimised for high-altitude, supersonic air combat, while retaining considerable ground-attack capabilities, will be flown by the UK's Royal Air Force.
The aircraft is built by a four-nation consortium comprising BAE Systems of the UK, Alenia Aeronautica of Italy, EADS Deutschland and EADS Spain. Alison Weller, director of show organiser F&E Aerospace, said she was pleased to welcome the RAF to the Dubai Airshow. – Khaleej Times
