Buoyed by a fast-growing aviation industry, Dubai 2003, this year's aerospace exhibition, has attracted more exhibitors and participants, and will attract a large number of trade visitors, said organisers. The exhibition is being held in the backdrop of a boom in the Gulf's aviation industry.

Over $7.7 billion is currently being invested in the upgrading and expansion of aviation infrastructure in the Gulf, which includes Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Ras al-Khaimah International Airport, Doha International Airport, and Kuwait International Airport, among others. Besides, a number of newly-launched airlines will help regional traffic to grow, which will help the region's travel, tourism and aviation industry to expand fast. Over 500 exhibitors from 35 countries, who are to share 350 exhibition stands spreading across 25,000 square metres of exhibition space and 60 chalets, will be taking part. (The Gulf News)
