The Dubai Airshow organisers F&E Aerospace are forecasting this November's event to be the largest event in their 26 years. The Dubai Airshow takes place from November 17 to 21, 2013, and is moving to a new purpose-built home at Dubai World Central (DWC), located in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

As the 13th edition of the Dubai Airshow approaches, the organisers are forecasting the biennial event will host up to 60,000 trade visitors and 1,000 exhibitors — up 5 per cent and 7 per cent respectively from 2011.

The Dubai Airshow welcomes over 210 first-time exhibitors with regional support from companies such as Saudi Aerospace, Alpha Star from Saudi Arabia and Franke Care Systems from Qatar. In addition, many local exhibitors have increased their exhibition area to optimise their presence at the show such as Tawazan, UAE, Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL), UAE, and Airfreight Aviation Limited (AAL) from UAE.

Following this trend, UAE exhibitors are the number-one origin represented at the show, Saudi Arabia second, followed by the USA, UK and France.

In line with the growth of the Dubai Airshow, international participants such as Canadian exhibitors have increased to 23 companies reflecting a huge 100 per cent growth; USA exhibitors up to 145 companies, an increase of 10 per cent, and China with 15 new companies also witnessing a growth of 10 per cent. - Gulf News
