Dubai's first national woman judge sworn in

The first woman judge of Dubai Courts took the oath of office 
before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Other four judges - Ayoub Ali Hatem Ahli, Ahmed Abdul Wahid Al Ali, Salem Mohammed Al Qaidi and Mohammed Abbas Al Raisi.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the new judges and urged them to discharge responsibilities in administering justice without fear or favour and to strictly adhere to standards of fairness and neutrality.

He welcomed Ibtisam Badwawi 
as the first national judge of Dubai Courts and praised her sound career choice. He added that her decision would encourage women graduates to join the judiciary.

The swearing-in ceremony was 
attended by Dr Hadef bin Juaan Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice, and other officials. - Khaleej Times
