The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has sent its 13th convoy of 33 trucks, carrying 825 tonnes of humanitarian aid, to Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC, said the move follows directives of the higher leadership of the ERC to help Syrian refugees at the U.AE.-Jordanian camps in a number of Jordanian areas, adding that the new convoy includes food items, clothes, blankets, toys, shoes, Mosque carpets, and water coolers.

He noted that the humanitarian aid is part of the humanitarian initiatives of the ERC to assist Syrian refugees, adding that the ERC has so far dispatched a total of 208 trucks, carrying 5,200 tonnes to Jordan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/general/1395268907702.html
