Amman: An education delegation led by Marwan Al Sawaleh, UAE Ministry of Education Undersecretary, got a glimpse of relief, charitable, health and services programmes the UAE is offering to Syrian refugees in Jordan.

The delegation of leaders, top educators, and students took a tour of the Emirates Field Hospital in Mafraq, north of Jordan, which is one of the largest health facilities that provides preventive health and therapeutic services to around 800 patients from the Syrian refugees and local Jordanians.

The delegation was welcomed by manager of the Emirati-Jordanian Camp for Syrian Refugees Hadi Al Kaabi and Director of the field hospital Khalifa Al Nuaimi.

Members of the delegation engaged with aid workers in distributing relief items to hundreds of Syrian refugee families.

UAE-Jordan Camp at Mreejab Al Fohood" in Jordan was next stop of the delegation. The camp accommodates 4000 refugees in the first phase with the under-construction second phase absorbing another 5000 refugees. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
