The Emirates Identity Authority (EID) is to contribute to the Ramadan campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to clothe one million underprivileged children around the world.

In an internal circular, Emirates ID is calling on its staff to donate in support of the campaign. This participation comes in line with Emirates ID's commitment to social responsibility principles and its keenness to stimulate the values of brotherhood, giving, human and social compassion and embodying the teachings of Islam during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

EID affirmed that donations made in support of the campaign reflect a true picture of the values of goodness and generosity that the UAE's prudent leadership has engraved in the souls of citizens and residents of UAE society in all its sectors and components.

Hundreds of Emirates ID employees participated yesterday in the "Dress 1 Million Needy Children" campaign through sending SMS to special numbers allocated for the purpose, stressing their keenness to help achieve the humanitarian mission of the UAE.

The campaign will continue until 19th Ramadan (July 28th), which coincides with the UAE's Humanitarian Day, and is the ninth anniversary of the passing of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
