Emirates Palace to stage silent auction during Saadiyat Beach Classic

The Emirates Palace, managed by Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, will make its presence felt at the Saadiyat Beach Classic charity tournament as a platinum sponsor and a host of the silent auction taking place for the first time on the new Saadiyat Golf Club from 27-28th of January.

Tourism Development '&' Investment Company (TDIC), the Abu Dhabi-based master developer of Saadiyat Island and its stunning Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, will stage the Saadiyat Beach Classic, a top-tier international charity golf tournament hosted by golfing legend Gary Player.

The first ever charity golf tournament at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is expected to bring leading golfing and non-golfing celebrities, businessmen, CEOs and donors from around the world to the UAE's capital to raise money for children in need.

General Manager of Emirates Palace Hans Olbertz said 'Emirates Palace is committed to support such a charity event. It is part of our core corporate values to throw our heavy weight behind social noble causes and we are delighted to partner this event with three of our sister Kempinski Hotels; Kempinski Ciragan Palace Istanbul, Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea Jordan and Mall of the Emirates Dubai contributing to the silent auction.

The Saadiyat Beach Classic will serve as the kick-off event for the Arabian Gulf's first and only ocean-front course and takes place just a few days after the European Tour's Abu Dhabi PGA Golf Championship which is being held at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
