The Emirates Post has started from yesterday, stamping a special postmark inscription "For Your Sake Oh Lebanon!" on all mails posted from inside the UAE. The campaign, which is in solidarity with the Lebanese people in their current predicament, will last until August 14, 2006.

All 84 Emirates Post outlets throughout the country are taking part in the campaign, which is being organised in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Family Affairs - Lebanon Aid Fund.

The Emirates Post is also collaborating with the UAE Red Crescent Society, by opening the doors of its outlets throughout the country to receive donations from people in all nooks and crannies in the country for the RCS for onward delivery to beneficiaries in Lebanon.

Abdullah Dabbous, Emirates Post Director General, said it is a national duty upon all institutions and individuals in the country to actively participate in the campaign which aims at reaching out to the Lebanese people to help alleviate their sufferings.

Dabbous said the postmark stamp on mails is another way in which his outfit can help create awareness on important issue like the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, adding that the Emirates Post had, in the past, embarked upon similar campaign at the local and international levels.
