ADEN,: Talented Yemeni youth affected by the developments in Aden province can now promote their hand-made items and improve their income and help others, thanks to a new handicraft market launched by the Emirates Red Crescent in a park in al-Buraiqeh District, Aden city.

The Souq al-Juma (Friday market), the latest of efforts by the UAE to help Yemenis, will be followed by similar markets in other parks in the Southern Yemen province.

"The market in al-Buraiqeh will empower youth men and women to face a difficult economic situation. They will also make meals to raise funds for children suffering from malnutrition in Hodeidah province due to a looming famine ," the director of the administration of al-Buraiqeh District Hani Al Yazedi, who opened the market in the presence of the Emirates Red Crescent team.

Thanking the UAE and its humanitarian agency, the official said their initiatives will always be remembered by Yemenis. – Emirates News Agency, WAM -
