Quebec: Emirati youth will receive strong support and job opportunities from the leadership, according to Federal National Council(FNC) First Deputy Speaker Dr Amal Al Qubaisi.
Al Qubaisi was speaking at the 127th Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting in Quebec, Canada, this week.
She also told how unemployment has declined in the UAE thanks to a commitment to legislation backing emiratisation plans for governmental and private sectors.
This sees the Emirati youth given priority in filling job vacancies, according to the policy of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR),
Al Qubaisi - leading the FNC Parliamentary Division delegation to the Quebec meeting - was speaking at a panel session on the theme "Creating Opportunities for Youth in Today's Global Economy.”
She cited the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, among other plans, which seek to meet the demands of the job market.
The FNC official also called for the urging of the world's leading industrialised countries and international financial institutions to back developing nations' faltering economies.
During the session, panellists and parliamentary delegates discussed the measures that are needed to ensure job opportunities for youth. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
