Following the astounding success that IDEX 2003 has achieved, exhibitors have begun signing contracts for spaces in IDEX 2005, organisers said yesterday. "About 75 per cent of the exhibition space has been fully booked with many exhibitors having signed contracts for the next show” said Ali Abdullah Al Tanaiji, General Director of the General Exhibition Corporation in a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). Al Tanaiji added that bookings are expected to increase to over 85 per cent by the end of exhibition on Thursday. He said that among countries who have booked for IDEX 2005 are Germany, which was the first country to booked a space following the strong performance of its 50 companies, followed by the US, Russia, Pakistan and many other countries. Al Tanaiji said that IDEX exhibitions were gaining worldwide popularity and that good organisation is also attracting more exhibitors. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
