Exhibitors from 25 countries confirm participation at ENVIRONMENT 2009

The ENVIRONMENT 2009 Exhibition and Conference to be held 19 - 21 January 2009 in Abu Dhabi has received exhibitor confirmations from more than 25 countries reflecting the increasing global interest in the many environment-related projects being undertaken by the public and private sectors in the region.

"Worldwide exhibitor interest in our show mirrors a drive towards enhancing ecological awareness, environmental preservation and longer-term sustainability in the region and opens up a number of business opportunities for companies to offer their products, services and technologies. ENVIRONMENT 2009 provides the most appropriate business platform for the environmental sector in this region," said Frederic Theux, President, Reed Exhibitions Middle East, organizers of the fifth edition of the ENVIRONMENT Exhibition '&' Conference.

Exhibitors from more than 25 countries including Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, the USA and the UAE will take part in ENVIRONMENT 2009.

ENVIRONMENT 2009 will cover the following sectors: Water, Waste, Air Pollution Treatment, Recycling, Protection and Preservation of Nature '&' Cultural Resources, Sustainable Development and services such as Risk Prevention and Management, Audit, Consultancy, Training and Education.

Visitors to ENVIRONMENT 2009 will include decision-makers from the federal and local governments from around the region, municipalities, public sector organizations, manufacturing industries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), educational and research institutions.

The previous edition of ENVIRONMENT, held in January 2007, had over 330 exhibitors from 28 countries taking part, occupying a gross exhibit area of over 15,000 square meters. It consisted of 9 national pavilions and received 5,000 visitors including a host of dignitaries, decision-makers and top officials from around the region. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
