The Abu Dhabi Declaration on Environment and Energy, which was issued yesterday by Arab ministers responsible for environment and energy, is a great step towards enhancing Arab cooperation in the two critical domains, a senior environmentalist said today. 'The Declaration will be submitted to the Arab League and then to the upcoming Arab summit in Bahrain. It will provide a framework for future common action in environment and energy in the Arab World,' Director of the Federal Environmental Agency (FEA) Dr. Salim Al Dhahiri told reporters yesterday on the sideline of the ongoing environment and energy conference and exhibition. Al Dhahiri underlined the importance of continuing efforts to protect and conserve the environment through cooperation with specialised international organisations to make the earth a safe place for all humanity.
