FIFA officials hailed the UAE's organisation of the ongoing World Youth Championship and termed it as 'unparalleled' in the history of the Youth Cup.FIFA also said that as and when UAE was ready for another FIFA event like the Confederations Cup or the Clubs Championship, they will stand an excellent chance of getting the nod.

After a meeting of the FIFA officials and the Local Organising Committee, FIFA General Secretary Urs Linsi and Jack Warner, FIFA Vice President and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the championship gave full marks for the way the 50 matches in the championship have been conducted so far. Linsi, who said FIFA President Sepp Blatter was advised rest and hence will not be making it to the final, said the event has been watched by over 300 million viewers in over a hundred countries.

"In my 21 years in FIFA I have been to many championships but the UAE's success is unparalleled and unsurpassed," said Jack Warner. "Such hospitality, organisation, friendship, commitment and excellence have rarely been found elsewhere," he said.

"Such exceptional professionalism from a small country is a good lesson. However I am afraid that it will be very difficult for any other country to match such a level of organising a FIFA event," Warner concluded. FIFA also hailed the support of Rulers of the UAE in making the event so highly successful.

Commenting on the absence of many young stars in the championship, Warner said that care is taken to ensure the championship does not clash with domestic engagements. Commenting on the standard of refereeing, Linsi said the referees committee was fully satisfied after the assessment of the officials which was consistent. Tournament Director Matar Al Tayer said FIFA's experience had a telling effect on the UAE officials and cadres. "It was a wonderful experience to work with the FIFA professionals," he added.
