The Federal National Council (FNC) will discuss today preventive measures being taken by the Ministry of Health to keep the country free from the SARS virus. According to the agenda, Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Madfa, Minister of Health, will answer the questions of members on the preparations and preventive measures against SARS, which has affected a number of South East Asian countries and Canada. The issue was raised by member Rashid Obaid Al Hafeeti in a written question addressed to the health minister. The debate is also likely to include other health issues. Another topic includes a debate on an international protocol on the execution of court judgments signed at a New York summit. (The Gulf News)
